Before they may affect the vehicle's downstream pneumatic systems, they are made to filter away contaminated air and humid air. Before being sent to up to seven distinct brake and ancillary circuits, the compressed air generated by the compressor must be dried and cleaned. To dependably meet the highest traffic safety requirements, these circuits must be filled with up to three different pressure levels and protected against one another.
